Improving Learning Conditions: First Batch of Supplies Delivered During their visit, the team discovered that the local rural primary school’s classrooms were in disrepair and lacked basic teaching materials. "Dream Art Festival" Sparks Imagination and Hope Beyond material support, the team organized an interactive event called the Dream Art Festival, encouraging students to paint their visions for the future. Some drew doctor’s uniforms, others filled their pages with books, stars, or even a flying “smart classroom.” Julian Tan, a volunteer teacher, reflected: "These children are quiet, but there’s a light in their eyes—they’re eager to learn, eager to change their future. Long-Term Commitment: Building Bridges Between Africa and the World At the event’s conclusion, the Pursuing Dreams Team announced the establishment of a Hope Campus Fund in Algeria. This fund will sponsor 10–15 outstanding but financially disadvantaged students annually, supporting them through junior high. The team also plans to collaborate with local education authorities to provide remote teacher training and introduce digital curriculum resources—working towards a model of rural education that is sustainable, smart, and equitable. This effort follows a series of donations in other regions, with the team having contributed over 13,400,000 Algerian Dinar (approximately USD 100,000) in total to various causes over the years, including school rebuilding and children’s health programs.
